TENNIS

After winning the Goulburn Murray Division & Hume Region tournaments, NDCs Senior Boys Tennis team competed at the School Sport Victoria Championships in Melbourne on 20 May.

The results were as follows:

• Match 1: NDC 1 set / 6 games def by Rowville SC 5/22
• Match 2: NDC 5/23 def Nagle College Bairnsdale 1/6
• Match 3: NDC 0/5 def by Maribyrnong C 6/24

The team finished 5^th in the State – well done to all the players on a great effort.

BADMINTON

8 NDC badminton teams competed at the Year 9-12 GMD Inter School Carnival held at the Shepp Stadium on 17 May.

All teams performed well, with the following teams winning their Age Group:

• Year 9/10 Girls (Sharon Shelly, Joslin Jo, Lillian Philips, Elaine Shinto, Eva Bobby)
• Year 11/12 Boys (Donal Shiju, Mandav Puthenparampil, Harman Singh, Angus Kerr, Aaron Shuren, Lorenzo Rigoli)

These teams now progress through to the Hume Region Carnival on 18 July.

STATE SELECTIONS

Congratulations to the following students who have been selected in School Sport Victoria State teams:

• 13-19yo Swimming team – Kiera Shaw & Stephi Moran
• 15yo Football team – Lincoln Brand

Kiera & Stephi will compete at the School Sport Australia Swimming Championships on the Gold Coast from 27-31 July and Lincoln will compete at the School Sport Australia Football Championships from 27 July to 3 August also on the Gold Coast.
